After 40 years, I have decided to leave Hardinge Inc. (now Kellenberger) service department to start my own Hardinge / Bridgeport service company. Mann CNC specializes in Hardinge lathes, Bridgeport milling machines and Fanuc controlled lathes / mills.

Who is better to service your equipment? The OEM Trainer with 40 years’ experience, or that 3rd party who claims to be Hardinge OEM trained?

How often have you thought “this is taking way longer than it should and this tech is on the phone way too much”? You were probably correct; these 3rd parties and inexperienced OEMS are not as knowledgeable or trained as they should be. It is not their fault; they have had no formal training and don’t have experienced support to fall back on. They are causing you money in billed labor and downtime!

Most former Distribution groups, 3rd parties, and the current Kellenberger (Hardinge) turning group techs have been given little to no formal training and are inexperienced on the equipment.

If you are not already familiar with me, 40years ago I started my career at Hardinge in machine assembly and then the used machine rebuild department. Shortly thereafter, I transitioned into the Service Department and was promoted through a variety of roles ranging from Field Engineer, to Diagnostic desk support, to Turning & Milling Service Trainer / Specialist, to Super Precision Field Service and Repair Parts Manager. Since sept 24, due to my extensive knowledge of the Super Precision turning products and my training abilities, I was assigned to manage the transition of the Super Precision Manufacturing Department from Elmira, NY to Elgin, IL…duties included developing SOP documentation, and personnel training of SP products.

My Services:

We can provide preventative maintenance to a complete rebuilds…..and anything in-between. Specializing on Fanuc controlled lathes or mills, especially Hardinge or Bridgeport machines.
